Lady Gaga Gifts Gold Wheelchair To Fan

Lady Gaga has had a rough few months. The 27-year-old singer was forced to cancel a slew of tour dates after developing a labral tear in her right hip. After undergoing a quick surgery, the singer faced plenty of recovery time and, even though she is on the mend, she knows just how stressful and discomfiting the experience can be. Now, she’s paying it forward by helping out a fan with a problem sort of similar to her own struggles.

One of Lady Gaga’s Twitter followers, a 19-year-old woman named Emma C, suffers from scoliosis and hip dysplasia and is in need of a hip replacement. Gaga found out about her troubles and decided to take action. The “Born This Way” singer is now flying the young woman to New York to help her get back on her feet. According to The Sun, the pop star is sending Emma to the same team of doctors and other specialists who helped her through her troubles back in March.
"Gaga reached out to me and is hooking me up with her team that did her surgery in NYC as I have been needing a hip replacement for quite some time…We're planning on flying out this weekend, all expenses paid, for a consult.”

Plenty of celebrities have offered help or support to fans in the past, from attending dances with soldiers to meeting young people suffering from cancer. Flying a fan to a doctor and paying for her to see specialists is an extremely commendable gesture. As if that weren’t enough, the singer will also be donating the 24-carat gold plated wheelchair that designer Ken Borochov created for her to sit in while she recovered. So, not only will the young woman hopefully get a much-needed surgery, but she’ll also be styling afterward. It should be an experience she’ll never forget.

The Greatest Gatsby

The Greatest Gatsby: Amitabh Bachchan with Beyonce, Lady Gaga…

In fact, The Big B has been tweeting about the film and revealed on his Twitter account: “The Great Gatsby official opening film for Cannes Film festival, May 15th…come one come all…half blink and you miss role for me (sic).”
Then, he adds: “Baz Luhrmann just informs me about Cannes... there is excitement all around... Jazz y wanting to use my voice in sound track… sure (sic).”
Adding Amitabh Bachchan’s baritone to the soundtrack is a typical Baz Luhrmann move – not enough stars ’s can do for the director.

Beyonce is on there, Florence and the Machine, Lana Del Rey and Jack White and now even Lady Gaga. So why not the Big B as well.

The Cannes Film Festival, whose 66th edition will unroll on May 15, has reportedly gone against tradition in choosing ‘The Great Gatsby’ as its opening movie.

This is because the film will hit theatres on May 10 (US) and for the last 10 years Cannes has reserved the opening slot for a movie that has not been screened elsewhere.

Lady Gaga, Republican National Convention: Singer Turned Down Huge Sum to Play Conservative Event

Luca Bruno, AP It will take more than $1 million dollars for Lady Gaga to support her opposing political party.

The "Born This Way" singer, who has openly championed liberal causes such as gay marriage, recently turned down a huge chunk o' change in return for appearing at the Republican National Convention last year!

The Washington Examiner reports that Mother Monster turned down an offer of $1 million to play at the event, even after the Republican Party told her it would be "honoring women who run for public office." The organizers even offered to donate $150,000 to a domestic violence shelter, but Gaga still said no.

The RNC also failed to score appearances by Dolly Parton and Pitbull.

Ultimately, Gaga openly pledged her support for President Barack Obama and even played a private event for his staff.
